Fitting
Small job, long-term benefit
One hose to the filter, one hose back. Any workshop can do that in around 1 to 2 hours. You can also fit the filter yourself. Every filter comes with detailed instructions.
- Quick fitting
- One-off conversion cost
- According to the manufacturer, no approval and no TÜV inspection needed
- After that, low costs: only new inserts

Tips for the workshop
- Best when cold
Fit the filter when the engine is cold. Change dirty engine oil before or after fitting.
- In the airflow
The more airflow reaches the housing, the better it cools. Because of vibration, avoid mounting it directly on the engine if possible.
- Almost any position
The housing can sit in any position. Upright makes changing the insert easier later.
- Not at the breather
Do not put the oil return connection near the engine breather. Otherwise oil can escape there.
- Change the insert
Takes 5 to 10 minutes. Watch the direction: the closed side of the sleeve points towards the oil inlet.
- At the valve cover
The manufacturer calls the oil return to the valve cover the technically best connection. This way the camshaft can also get extra oil.
- Check regularly
The manufacturer requires a regular visual check of the filter and hoses, best done together with the oil level.
