Trabold-Hochleistungsfilter
patentierte Technologie
bewährt seit 30 Jahren
The TRABOLD filter removes the finest dirt and water from the oil and cools it at the same time. So the oil stays good for a long time, and there is no oil change for a long time.

4,25×
This is how much more pressure oil filtered for 100,000 km withstood than fresh oil.
To the field testFilter fineness
0,1 µm
A ten-thousandth of a millimetre. Up to 200 times finer than usual filters.
Car, 5 l, 100,000 km
33 l → 3 l
This much waste oil builds up: 33 litres with an oil change every 15,000 km, around 3 with the filter.

Town of Wertheim, 15 September 2000
The town of Wertheim has run vehicles with the filter since 1999. Mayor Wolfgang Stein wrote to Hermann Trabold about its experience.
“The reliability of your filter system, the cost reduction (oil, disposal, fuel and workshop) and above all the environmental aspect have convinced us.”
“Based on our experience, we can highly recommend your filter system.”

What you gain
That protects your engine, your money and the environment.
Up to 90 % less oil.
Original: the benefits on the Trabold site, 2001
The filter removes the fine dirt. So your oil stays in use for longer.
Less oil, less maintenance. This pays off above all for vehicles and machines that run a lot.
If you use oil for longer, you need less new oil and dispose of less old oil.
The technology in detail
A small part of the engine oil flows through the filter. In it: soot, wear particles and water.
The oil flows into the insert from two sides. So the whole filter does its share.
Dirt down to 0.1 µm is trapped, the paper soaks up water.
The aluminium housing gives off heat to the air. So the filter is also an oil cooler.
Clean, dry and cooler, back into the engine.
Field test over 100,000 km
The question: is oil still good after 100,000 km if you never change it and only filter it? A Renault R5 Diesel drove the distance. Then its oil was compared with fresh branded oil.

more loadThis is how much more pressure the filtered oil withstood than fresh branded oil.
So after 100,000 km the oil was not used up. It even lubricated better than when freshly filled. Against fully synthetic branded oil too, it came out 4 to 5 times ahead.

Hermann Trabold, born in 1939, has been researching oil since the late 1950s. In 1987 he builds his own filters, and in 1990 he founds Trabold Filter GmbH. Two patents follow in 1991 and 1994.
The more often oil runs through the filter, the less dirt and water it contains. Chemically it hardly changes. That is what TÜV report no. 278/93 says. The particles were counted in transformer oil.
ALDI Helmstadt starts in September, Pinneberger Verkehrsgesellschaft with six buses. In January 2000 Hamburger Abendblatt reports: over two million km without an oil change.
In 1994 and 1995 the Umweltbehörde contributes 150 DM each for 200 filters. The NORDIG institute evaluates 198 users: no damage from the filter, 0.44 l less fuel per 100 km, 11.8 l less engine oil per vehicle per year.
In July comes the environmental prize of Kreissparkasse Calw. NABU presents the filter as an environmental tip. In November it is registered as an EXPO 2000 project.
The filter is an official project of EXPO 2000 in Hannover. Main-Post reports on the EDEKA trucks, and the town of Wertheim confirms over 40 vehicles.
ALDI Helmstadt confirms: 23 trucks, 5.6 million km, no oil change, no engine damage. Hermann Trabold wins MDR’s 1st “Einfach Genial” prize.
The contractor Schweizer in Haiterbach fits all its machines and does without oil changes: Fendt tractors and Claas forage harvesters, 7,000 to 8,000 operating hours since then.
According to the sales partner, ALDI Helmstadt reports: 21 trucks, around 700,000 km per truck, not a single oil change, no damage.

From Trabold Filter GmbH in Wertheim. Patented in 1991 and 1994, tested by TÜV, in use for over 30 years. Made in Germany.
